What is hypnobirthing?
Hypnobirthing focuses on understanding your fear around birth and working to reduce any tension you may have. This could be from a previous birth experience of your own or perhaps you were told you were a difficult birth. I work with you to release your fear around the sensations of labour and birth giving you the tools and skills to birth without fear. If fear is not present we are able to go into birth with a feeling of calm and excitement towards birthing our babies. (this is my ultimate mission!)
I teach a supportive practice of antenatal content, relaxation, visualisations and breathing techniques plus some skills used by doulas during birth for your birth partner to adopt. You will work together to practice and perfect them and in turn you will feel comfortable and secure leading up to birthing your baby.
My courses are not a quick 4 hour course as I want you to get the most from your time and investment. We will work together to make sure you leave my course feeling knowledgeable, excited and ready to meet your new member of your family! I am also on hand for any additional phone or email support. I often have mums texting during their labour for some top up confidence.
Is hypnobirthing for everyone?
Whether you are 20 weeks pregnant or 35 weeks pregnant and planning a vaginal birth or an abdominal birth, Hypnobirthing can be used by everybody. It will absolutely benefit you and your birth partner giving you both the skills to be able to cope with labour and birth. Take a look at my testimonial page where you will be able to read all different kinds of birth experiences and you will sense the clear positivity!
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to give me a call, I would love to hear from you. Talking over the phone is massively underrated! I love nothing more than to talk and go through any concerns you may have and help to put your mind at rest.
It also allows you to decide if we are a good fit for each other as you must feel comfortable with your chosen hypnobirthing teacher. It is a personal journey, and one we should feel in control of as much as possible.
